When we’re in the balloon, we feel truly happy. We love sharing this feeling with you, bringing you unique moments filled with calm, relaxation, and breathtaking views.
If anyone can say they’ve been flying their entire life and know almost nothing else, it’s everyone at the FlyBalloon team. Ondra and Helena were both born into ballooning families; instead of trips to castles or landmarks, their family outings were often to launch fields. As adults, we never left ballooning behind; instead, we transformed what we know and love into our life’s work. With passion, we share the magic of aviation with you, our dear passengers.
Join us on our (aerial) journey and allow us the opportunity to share the joy of flying that gives our lives meaning and fulfillment.
I’ve been around balloons since childhood, and every single flight still excites me. Even after more than a thousand take-offs, I always feel the same thrill. I founded FlyBalloon to share this joy with others. I believe that a balloon flight can remind people of what truly matters – keeping the right perspective.

Jan is the younger of the two brothers behind FlyBalloon. He grew up among balloon baskets, just like Ondřej, and naturally transitioned from helping with preparations to flying on his own. He enjoys the calm that ballooning brings and takes his responsibility seriously. Every flight is handled with care and respect.

Our first custom-designed balloon, flying over the Czech Republic, Austria, and Slovakia. It’s mainly used for private flights with smaller groups. Each passenger enjoys an unobstructed 360° view from a comfortable basket lined with soft leather and accomodated with doors.

Known as “The Wolf”, this large balloon is ideal for corporate events and group flights. Every passenger has a clear view over the edge of the basket, which rotates gently during the flight for panoramic views.
We Hold the Czech Record in Long-Distance Balloon Flight
On February 25, 2017, Ondřej Kostrhun and Jan Suchý set out from Turnov to break the Czech long-distance ballooning record. In 9 hours and 59 minutes, they covered 550 km, reaching 4,008 m AMSL and landing near Szeged, Hungary. This flight still stands as the official Czech record in distance ballooning.
Among the Top 10 Balloon Pilots in Czechia
Besides scenic flights, we also compete in national and international ballooning competitions. Ondřej Kostrhun currently ranks 7th among Czech pilots, proving that you’re always in experienced hands.
An Honorary Passenger – The President of the Czech Republic
In August 2024, we had the honor of welcoming the President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Petr Pavel, aboard our balloon. We are proud of this trust and consider it a highlight in our company’s history.
